It is with great pride, gratitude and a little surprise that we announce that Annemijn has been nominated for the Innovation Award of the Dutch Dance Days. The award brings “current developments and exceptional talent into the spotlight”, as can be read on the website of the Dutch Dance Days.
Nominations for the award are submitted by dance enthusiasts and dance professionals through a general call. A jury ultimately nominates three makers from the entries who will pitch their idea for a new performance. The choreographer with the best, most innovative idea will take home the award and can start creating a new work.
Fellow nominees are Anne Suurendonk and Poernima Gobardhan. The award ceremony will take place on 4 October 2024 during the Gala of Dutch Dance in Theater aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
