Workshop

Are you curious about Annemijn’s working method? Would you like to experience her Enhancing Embodied Awareness methodology yourself? In collaboration with Schweigman&, Body of Art/ Annemijn Rijk organizes an intensive three-day workshop in which you delve deeply into her methodology together with Annemijn. From the body, the senses and the imagination we investigate what it means to be truly present in performance.

Through sensory improvisation, visualizations, inner images and attentive listening we open sensitivity to space, time, movement, sound and the presence of others. We work from principles such as silence, resonance, breath, disorientation, transparency and activating the senses.

The workshop focuses on developing a deeply embodied consciousness: how do you stay present in the moment, even when people are watching? How do you move from within? How do you stay connected to your own body and at the same time receptive to the space, other performers and music?

In coordination with these elements, we investigate performativity based on vulnerability, precision and imagination. The focus is not on producing form, but on deepening presence and refining perception.

This workshop is for people who are looking to deepen their artistic practice and want to immerse themselves in intense physical and sensory research.
