Tilburg welcomes The Lab, a groundbreaking sensory labyrinth in the Spoorzone
You’ve probably heard it already: From 11 to 15 September 2025, we will present The Lab in the Koepelhal in the Spoorzone of Tilburg in collaboration with various artists and creatives. The Lab is a sensory experience in which sound, light, space and movement distort perception. This is the first time that we have set up shop in the heart of the city for several days with such a large art installation as The Lab. We will first present The Lab in Tilburg, and The Lab will then also be experienced in Utrecht and Eindhoven, among others. Tickets are now available via the website of De Nieuwe Vorst.
Where are we going?
By moving in a scenographically designed environment on a surface of approximately 2100m2 you are immersed in a new world. A world that swallows you and encloses you, in which getting lost seems inevitable, and senses are disrupted and tested. In this in-between space you break free from existing walls, you change from spectator to main character, and you break with rules and expectations. You investigate your own way of thinking, to ultimately ask the collective question: Where are we going?
An exercise in wandering
In an ever-changing, accelerating world, it is difficult to find your bearings. The Lab is, in addition to an artistic experience, also an exercise in dealing with an unstable future. What skills do we need to develop to keep ourselves going? What responsibility do we need to accept as human beings? And what beliefs and habits can we let go of?
The Lab does not provide answers or new support, but it does provide space for practicing uncertainty and directionlessness. By moving around, taking steps yourself, in the (almost) dark, your grip on the environment and reality changes. Can we deal with this discomfort? Can we get lost? And who are we if we have no goal and direction?

Pay as you can options: Every day from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and all day on Sunday, September 14.
The Lab is a total experience in which a context program in the form of lectures and debates, and the right audience guidance and preparation are part of the artistic whole.
The Lab is suitable for everyone aged 12 and over.
The Lab is wheelchair accessible. If you want to come with a wheelchair, please contact us in advance via info@bodyofart.nl.
The Lab works with disorientation and absolute darkness. If you are hypersensitive to light and have severe claustrophobia, we advise against visiting the installation.
